Swimming season is coming to a close and homeowners are removing their above ground pools to discover the familiar ring of dead grass.  After months of shade and thousands of pounds of water on top of it, obviously the grass will need to be replaced.  Most above ground pool manufactures recommend that the grass be removed before it is installed, regardless, if the pool has been there all summer, what you will have is a ring of extremely compacted soil with a layer of soil, grass and sand (if used for leveling) left behind.  In order to repair the damage, the area needs to be prepared to accept the new lawn.  From removal of the sand and debris to tilling the soil to make it less hard and able to accept sod and/or seed.  With the growing season now very short, you will want to have this done as quickly as possible as we want the new grass to be able to build up reserves to survive the Milwaukee and Mequon winters.  Contact us and we can get your lawn looking as good as new!
